September marks the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere (the autumn equinox is around September 22nd) and the start of spring in the southern hemisphere. For many, the month of September signals the end of summer and the beginning of a new exciting school year. But it’s so much more…
Holidays and events celebrated in September are Labor Day, the first Monday in September, Native American Day, Constitution Day, and Citizenship Day. It’s also known for being Hispanic Heritage Month, and thus, the Community Diversity Group will hold its annual Multicultural Heritage event this month.

We also recognize and promote National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
